I was in Bonita Bay yesterday looking at an investment property with a friend and three car carriers stood ready at the gate to unload those fabulous sport and touring cars for the season – shipped down from our up north seasonal visitors. Traffic is picking up, the evening calendar is filling up with dinner parties and my conversations with the merchants say they came through the summer a little better this year and just in the last week business is picking up. Season is here and our fair hamlet will see its population rise from 80,000 to 350,000+ souls – here we go.
This week new buyers joined us, new to NaplesBestAddresses.com and Coldwell Banker and we look forward to working with them in the weeks ahead. Our client investors are increasing – the buy-rehab-return and the buy-rent groups – look for blogs this season on investing in Naples real estate. Yes I know, with the shock of the 2007-2011 price drop this is not for the faint of the heart, but with an average price increase of 15% + over the last twelve months and a much lower supply of property the investors are stepping back in – have stepped back in I should say.
We also welcomed some new sellers who seem to appreciate our unique international and online marketing methods (yes everyone has a web site or they should – but we have some unique approaches here that makes us different). There are some clear do’s and don’ts we recommend when selecting a REALTOR. Remember they are working for you, you are in charge, and thy should be providing you all the information you need to make a great decision and do the one thing you need them to do – market like there is no tomorrow in this tough economy. Talk with us and we will go over how we help our clients – with some unique and different methods.
Season is here. Living and visiting Naples now for over 35 years I never get tired of the place coming to life this time a year and I think working in this environment makes us better to serve our clients as we learn more quickly – sometimes more frantically – in this wonderful increased pace time. Here we go – golf groups forming up, boat captain charters taking more calls, music on 5th avenue our wonderful “main street” all wrapped in a wonderful tropical weather headed for those 70-80 degree highs with lower humidity where you can open up the house and sleep with the windows open – ahh that’s the ticket.
Have a great weekend everyone – tell us about your plans for the season. I am going for a cycling ride with my friends early (more are back!) then a sit down with my wonderful son to watch the Michigan vs. Michigan State game and some simultaneous work for our clients.
Enjoy.
