Some of our clients look for properties to buy and rent for the long term, thinking rent returns maybe superior to cash these days. We are not offering financial investment advice in this column but we did take a look at some rental property options in Naples. We screened for established rental communities with shorter term rentals near the water to appeal to the seasonal crowds.
We see at least six properties which may be good candidates for investors interested in setting up a rental. They include:

The properties all vary in attributes with weekly or monthly rentals and amenities like in residence laundry which we think may be important to eventual resale and renting.
Let’s take a look at Regatta. One additional thought regarding financial computations with condominium investing – the wild card is assessment. If the HOA cannot cover operating expenses or there is a capital expenditure requirement (new roof for example) you as an owner will pay your share.
