Yesterday I took a break from real estate and invited some friends out to lunch and out the back door to the wonderful paradise of the back bay. I will never get over the beauty of the place. Dolphin hunting for fish, osprey building nests with fledglings preparing for first flight and that Naples Florida sunshine.
You do not need your own boat to enjoy the bays here. There are plenty of rental agencies in Naples and Marco Island that will set you up with a boat and there were plenty of rental boats out in the bay yesterday – just know your navigation and tides so you enjoy your trip.
For our day on the water I took my friends to the Little Bar on Goodland. This restaurant is my absolute favorite on water restaurant. Dating back to the early days of civilized life on Goodland this place features a wonderful old wood-paneled bar, plenty of fine people and a perch on a small bay in the fishing hamlet of Goodland. And oh my the fish. My friend asked me what to order and we both went with the grilled Mahi sandwich and the expression on his face told me all I needed to know – fabulous.
We rounded out the trip with a return home and some gawking at Naples real estate on water homes and then back to the dock. Just a few hours and based on our reduced stress level you would think we were out for days.
Oh and did I mention a big snow storm was depositing seven inches of snow in Chicago and Detroit while we were buzzing along in short sleeves on the water in the Florida sun? Feels like cheating somehow.
When you think about Naples real estate remember the lifestyle that goes with it. Oh this life on the water – just love it.
