Don’t get me wrong. I love the fall. The cooling air, the leaves – I even liked going back to school (I know, I know). But I am reading all these facebook, twitter and blog accounts of summer ending – why not keep summer going with a little Florida sunshine?
If you think Florida is full of old people wow let me get you caught up. The median age here is 39! The median age of the youngest state in the union (Utah) is 32 so you really cannot say Florida is just full of old people (see

People are actually moving here. Now why would that be? There is a growing population, no personal state income tax – zero – caps on primary residence property tax increases for residents, culture and cultural events, outdoor beauty and a climate supporting twelve months of outdoor life.
A lot of folks just start by renting or visiting friends. Why not plan on breaking up the winter or even the fall – just get down here. Plane flight reservations out a few months are cheaper. Naples, Florida along the coast has never seen a hard freeze. That would be never. No snow. Sure a frost now and then and freezes inland do batter our farmers, but, but, it is a warm here. Year round outdoor stuff is yours – golf, hike, bike, walk, sit at the beach, run at the beach, whatever.
