Back in my Accenture days I worked a great deal with this company. Privately held, they influence the technology community globally by providing independent research on a variety of topics. CIO’s in contemplating big projects often rely on Gartner for advice, guidance and support to move their ideas forward. Gartner would be a great addition to the Naples area in my view – even though they are already here. The news today is about adding 400 jobs – a big deal here to be sure.
So what? What has this got to do with real estate here in Naples, Florida? Well the so what is demand. Readers of the blog will remember our first prediction 2014 – population growth increasing demand. Demographics (here come the boomers), increasing retirees and growing business – all positives for our local real estate market.
We will update you on our forecasts quarterly but this whole growth thing seems to be continuing. For example:
1) The Naples News 12/31/13 reported Florida should pass NY as third most populated State.
2) The Naples News also reported 1/6/14 Palm Coast, Fla.-based CLRSearch, a real estate listing service and information provider, reports Collier County’s population increased by 27 percent, to 320,101, in the decade since 2000, nearly three times faster than the nation’s population grew.
Ok, Ok you get the idea. Our growth prediction looks good so far. Get ready to see real estate prices increase if all other factors hold true.
