Well. check out this month’s Naples Best Addresses newsletter …
The holidays are fast approaching – decorations are up and
mailbox catalogs are increasing! We are blessed with continued
sunny and warm weather with very little rain.
The Naples market – Still Going Up
Overall inventory is down 18% from this time last year, with a 25% decrease in inventory in the under $300,000 market.
Sales of single family homes in the under $300,000 range decreased 15% over last
year. This is attributed to the fact that there are so few short sales and foreclosures in
our market right now, it also explains the decrease in inventory in the under $300,000
properties.
Overall median closed prices have neutralized in the $300,000 and above range,
demonstrating stability in the market. We are looking at a very busy season, and always welcome new listings to sell.
You may have read in the national news this month Naples is one of the top 10 markets in the United States based on number of sales of homes over one
million dollars. Interestingly we are also the smallest city on the list demonstrating again the truly unique aspects of our home town.
Weather, fine dining, outdoor
sports, shopping and overall lifestyle make us a destination of choice for many. Oh yes, and Mark cannot fail to mention the fishing these past few weeks both in the back country and out on the Gulf is truly remarkable.
For more views on our markets please see our recent blog article published now to over 5,000 persons: “Real Estate Market Really Moving Now – Supplies Dip Further” ( http://nangoebel.wordpress.com/2013/11/15/real-estate-market-really-moving-now-supplies-dip-further/)
Farmers market season
There are several farmers markets to choose from, but our favorite is the 3rd street market on Saturday morning. A few of our favorite vendors include, once upon a bean, they make amazing chocolates, Collier Family Farms with their all organic produce, Black Bee Coffee where Mike and Lisa bring you organic and night-before-roasted coffees and Captain Kirk’s with their fresh tuna salad, stone crab and same day
local fish. It is so fun to buy everything in the morning and then make dinner in the evening – live well!
